Job summary

Diaverum Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified General Practitioner with hands-on dialysis experience to join our haemodialysis unit. You will deliver safe, high-quality medical care to patients, collaborate with nephrologists, nurses and dietitians, and contribute to clinical governance and patient education.

The ideal candidate holds MBBS or MD, UAE medical license, prior haemodialysis experience, BLS (ACLS preferred), and strong clinical judgment with excellent communication and teamwork in a busy

Qualifications

• Bachelor or medical degree (MBBS/MD) required.
• UAE medical licence or eligibility to obtain licence.
• Previous clinical experience in dialysis/haemodialysis setting.
• ACLS certification preferred; BLS current.
• Strong clinical judgement and teamwork with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical assessment and ongoing clinical management of patients undergoing haemodialysis.
• Conduct pre- and post-dialysis clinical assessments and monitor patients throughout treatment.
• Identify and manage dialysis-related complications; escalate complex cases to nephrologist.
• Review patients’ clinical status, laboratory results, medications, and medical history.
• Respond to acute medical issues and emergencies in the dialysis unit.
• Collaborate with nephrologists, dialysis nurses, dietitians and other professionals for coordinated care.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support patient and family education regarding treatment plans and adherence.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Maintain professional practice in accordance with UAE regulatory requirements.
