Dewatering Technician

Job description

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain various types of dewatering systems (wellpoints, deep wells, sump pumps, etc.).
• Set up hoses, pumps, piping, fittings, and filters according to site-specific requirements.
• Monitor water levels and pump performance regularly to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on pumps and equipment.
• Record flow rates and any irregularities during operation.
• Manage discharge water in compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
• Coordinate with site supervisors and engineers on changes to dewatering needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
