Device Integration Engineer

Location: Sharjah, UAE

Contract: 12 months (extendable)

Availability: Immediate / Maximum 2 week's notice

About the Role

We are seeking a Device Integration Engineer to join my client's healthcare IT team. In this role, you will ensure seamless integration and connectivity of critical medical devices within our hospital ecosystem. You’ll work with approximately 140 devices, including anesthesia machines, ventilators, and ECG systems, to guarantee accurate data flow and compliance with healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Device Integration & Management: Configure and maintain connectivity for medical devices with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Proactively monitor device performance and resolve connectivity or data transmission issues.
  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to HL7, FHIR, and regulatory standards while maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with biomedical engineering, IT teams, and vendors to deliver reliable integration solutions.
  • Optimization & Reporting: Analyze data flow for efficiency and prepare regular performance reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Hands‑on experience with medical device integration and healthcare IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7, FHIR, and interoperability standards.
  • Familiarity with anesthesia machines, ventilators, and ECG systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
