Job summary

PPOAR in United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Painter to prepare surfaces and apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel or lacquer to decorate and protect interior and exterior surfaces.

The ideal candidate will have proven painting experience, knowledge of materials, and excellent colour coordination with a good eye for detail. Willing to consider foreign applicants; the role involves using spray guns, rollers and brushes and may require ladders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a painter.
• Knowledge of painting materials and how to apply them.
• Excellent colour coordination and a good eye for detail.
• Ability to work with ladders when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare walls and surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding and removing old paint.
• Mix paints and materials to achieve correct colour and texture.
• Apply paints, stains and finishes following instructions.
• Calculate material quantities needed for the job.
• Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and touch up as needed.
• Clean up tools and workplace after completing a job.
