Job summary

Repton Dubai seeks to appoint an outstanding Design Technology and Computer Science Teacher for an August 2026 start. The successful candidate will bring dual subject expertise, delivering practical design projects alongside digital and computational thinking across KS3 and 4, integrating design with coding, digital fabrication and systems thinking.

The department is proud of its excellent IGCSE and IB results and collaborates to create engaging cross-curricular learning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Design and Technology or a directly related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and PGCE.
  • Minimum of two years post-qualification teaching experience.
  • Proven experience teaching Design and Technology.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and ability to integrate digital design tools into teaching.
  • Experience teaching across KS3-5, including A Level.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver the IB Design and Technology course to the highest standards.
  • Teach Design and Technology across KS3-5, including IB and A Level pathways.
  • Utilise state-of-the-art facilities, including laser cutters, 3D printers and CNC routers.
  • Deliver engaging Design and Technology ECAs to further enhance the subject profile.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across the department and wider school community.
  • Contribute proactively to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.
  • Maintain high expectations and drive excellent student outcomes.
