Project Overview

KBR is seeking a talented and proactive Landscape Design Manager to join the team to support with an Island masterplan - a landmark waterfront development. The role involves working directly with the Client's internal development and master plan teams, providing expert input and coordination support across all phases of landscape design and implementation.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile project from the client/developer side, ensuring the landscape vision is successfully delivered across public realm, open space networks, waterfront edges, and communities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Represent the Client's interests in all landscape-related matters on the Island masterplan.
  • Coordinate with external landscape consultants, master-planners, and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Review/comment consultant submissions to ensure alignment with the Client's vision, brand, and sustainability targets.
  • Assist with internal approvals, stakeholder presentations, and design brief development.
  • Support coordination between landscape design and infrastructure, plots design team, coastal/marine works and road/infrastructure.
  • Attend regular design, coordination, and site meetings to provide landscape input.
  • Monitor design progress and assist with quality assurance during landscape implementation on site.
  • Help resolve design or construction issues related to landscape works.
  • Lead design coordination meetings and provide progress reporting to senior management.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, supervision consultants, contractors, vendors and regulatory authorities ensuring consistency and collaboration alignment and compliance with project specifications and regulations.
  • Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management and the client, detailing progress, challenges and solutions, commercial status, risks etc.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to review engineering designs, ensuring constructability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Guide and mentor project team members, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to maintain project support and mitigate any concerns.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or related field. Registered or Chartered Landscape Architect preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience, including work on large-scale masterplans or waterfront developments.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools
  • Familiarity with sustainability frameworks and public realm strategies.
