Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a talented engineer to design pressure vessels for a desalination plant. The successful candidate will develop technical specifications, perform bid evaluations, and manage procurement activities. A minimum of 8 years of experience in pressure vessel design is required, along with knowledge of international codes. This role is based in Dubai, UAE.

Qualifications

• Well-versed with pressure vessel design software such as Codecac, PVElite, Compress.
• Sound knowledge of international codes on pressure vessel design.
• Minimum 8+ years of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop design deliverables such as datasheets and technical specifications.
• Perform technical bid evaluation and support procurement.
• Review mechanical design calculations and fabrication drawings.

Job description

Responsibilities

Develop design deliverables such as datasheets, technical specifications, material requisitions; perform technical bid evaluation; support procurement and sub‑vendor package management. Design and detail fabrication drawings of pressure vessels, atmospheric tanks, API tanks, and heavy columns as per ASME SEC VIII DIV 1 and API 650 for desalination plant. Assign and receive work for engineers, designers, and draftsmen. Review mechanical design calculations, fabrication drawings, and job packages. Perform technical review of vendor quotations in compliance with project requirements.

Requirements

• Well‑versed with pressure vessel design software such as Codecac, PVElite, Compress, etc.
• Sound knowledge of international codes on pressure vessel design such as ASME Section VIII, Division 1 & 2, PD 5500, API 650, etc.
• Good knowledge of ASME and BS materials.
• Minimum 8+ years of work experience.
