Qualifications

• Valid DOH/HAAD License as Dental Assistant (mandatory).
• Previous experience in a dental assistant role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare dental instruments, materials, and medications.
• Responsible for taking panoramic and cephalic X-rays.
• Mix alginate and rubber for impressions as required.
• Assist with patient charting and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage and monitor dental materials and medication inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility in the treatment room.
• Perform additional tasks supporting the dental team.

Skills

Proficiency in dental radiography and Xray procedures

Ability to mix materials such as alginate and rubber for impressions

Strong organisational and time management skills

Knowledge of inventory management and medical supply tracking

Excellent attention to detail and adherence to hygiene and sterility protocols

Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
