What We’re Looking For
  • Proven track record as a Demi Chef De Partie in a luxury hotel environment or fine dining restaurant, delivering sensational experiences synonymous with FIVE’s award‑winning service quality.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Outstanding pre‑opening experience setting up dynamic, seamless and fast‑paced kitchen operations.
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written, fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in culinary techniques, presentation and plating methods.
  • Strong familiarity with safely using and maintaining kitchen equipment.
  • Next‑level collaborative skills, effectively supporting senior chefs, and leading and inspiring junior kitchen staff.
  • Meticulous eye for detail, ensuring food quality and presentation perfectly curated.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HACCP principles and practices, and a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, best practices in restaurant operations.
  • Positive ‘can‑do’ attitude, proactive in contributing innovatively towards menu development and culinary concepts.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the hotel’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Elevate FIVE’s culinary experience by meticulously preparing and cooking dishes alongside the Chef De Partie, ensuring they meet our exacting standards of quality and presentation.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your designated kitchen section—sauces, grill or pastry—adding bespoke artistry to execution and presentation.
  • Innovate and curate menu offerings that captivate our discerning clientele, harmonizing local flavours, global culinary trends and dietary preferences.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of kitchen equipment, master cooking techniques, and uphold food hygiene practices to maintain FIVE‑styled safety and quality.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with fellow chefs and supervisors, contributing to the creation of sensational FIVE‑Star dining experiences.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
  • Ensure impeccable organisation and setup of your section before service periods to guarantee efficiency and smooth operations.
  • Contribute to the management of ingredient stock levels and adopt a minimum‑waste approach when placing orders, ensuring continuous and efficient supply of ingredients.
  • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations, keeping the kitchen faultlessly clean, orderly and compliant.
  • Participate in menu tastings, evaluations and training sessions, showcasing commitment to continuous improvement and creation of boundary‑breaking culinary experiences.
