Job summary

Park Rotana & Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi, part of Rotana Hotels, are seeking a passionate Demi Chef de Partie to support daily food preparation and uphold quality standards. You will work in a busy kitchen, following menu specifications and maintaining hygiene to the highest standard.

You will also contribute to cost control, mis-en-place, and buffet setups, while guiding junior staff and coordinating with other sections to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in daily operations.
• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain hygienic working area according to hotel rules.
• Control food stock and food cost in the section.
• Prepare daily mis-en-place and food production in various sections.
• Follow instructions from superiors to complete daily tasks.
• Ensure high standards and consistent quality in daily prep and keep up to date with new products and techniques.
• Instruct and lead subordinates in daily requirements and assist with buffet setup and special functions.
• Coordinate with other sections on cleanliness, wastage and cost control.

Job description

This position is based at Park Rotana & Park Arjaan Abu Dhabi.

As a Demi Chef de Partie you are responsible to take care of the daily food preparation and duties assigned to meet the set standard and qualities whereby your role will include key responsibilities such as:

• Support the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in the daily operation and work
• Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie
• Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel
• Control food stock and food cost in his section
• Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites
• Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
• Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in set up of buffets and special functions
• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage and cost control
