Those in deal strategy at PwC will focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and restructuring. Your work will involve analysing market trends, assessing business opportunities and developing strategic frameworks to guide clients in making informed decisions regarding their deals. You will help clients navigate complex transactions, identify potential risks and opportunities and develop strategies to maximise value and achieve their business objectives. Working in this area you will play a crucial role in assisting clients in formulating and executing effective strategies to optimise outcomes in their deal‑making processes.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver engagements related to growth strategy, market entry, portfolio strategy and business unit planning.
  • Manage projects involving commercial due diligence (CDD), target screening and M&A strategy across Industrial Manufacturing, Construction and Transportation sectors.
  • Work across complex deal environments integrating strategy with valuation, financial due diligence and other transaction services.
  • Engage senior client stakeholders, drive impactful recommendations and shape the strategic direction of client programs.
  • Act as a sector expert particularly in transport & logistics and industrials, helping us capitalize on major growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in Deals and other lines of service to bring integrated end‑to‑end solutions to clients.
  • Develop client proposals, pitch materials and thought leadership, contributing to business development and new wins.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering growth and ensuring high‑quality deliverables across all engagements.
Requirements
  • 6 years of relevant experience in top‑tier strategy consulting or in‑house corporate strategy roles with proven progression to Senior Manager level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in growth‑focused engagements, not just cost optimization; must be able to think beyond traditional CDD work.
  • Proven track record of leading strategic planning, business reviews, market opportunity assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Experience in transactions is essential, particularly with M&A, JVs, integrations or spin‑offs with the ability to link these to long‑term strategy.
  • Sector experience in industrial manufacturing, automotive, construction and transport & logistics ideally in the Middle East region.
  • Ability to operate across multiple business units, integrating cross‑functional perspectives and driving complex transformation programs.
  • Strong client presence and comfort in leading in‑person conversations with senior stakeholders.
  • Rigorous analytical skills; ability to excel at solving problems that require sound logical reasoning, creative thinking, fluency with numbers and ability to untangle complex issues.
  • Ability to project poise, confidence and professional maturity in both internal and external situations; engaging and concise with good interpersonal presence, comfortable both in the C‑suite and team room settings.
  • Articulate and compelling verbal, written and presentation skills are vital.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, pragmatic; someone who rolls up the sleeves and gets things done.
  • Arabic speaking considered a big plus.
  • Flexibility to travel at least 40% of the time.
