Job summary

cander is seeking a Data Security Team Lead in Dubai, UAE, to drive data protection and governance initiatives. You will lead a team and collaborate with stakeholders to implement Microsoft Purview, DLP, MIP, and data classification across the organization.

The role requires hands-on security expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex data governance programs while aligning with GDPR, NCA, and ISO 27001 requirements. Dubai-based with a strategic security focus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Data Security / Data Protection / Governance.
• 2+ years in a team leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong Microsoft Purview, DLP, MIP and data classification experience.
• Experience with Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, Audit and retention policies.
• Knowledge of Defender for Cloud Apps (CASB), Intune, MDM/MAM and Conditional Access.
• Experience with GDPR, NCA and ISO 27001.
• Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• GIAC or equivalent certification preferred; SC-400 / SC-100 is a plus.
