Adecco Middle East is looking for Data Security Engineer for our one of the prestigious client in Abu Dhabi.
Role Type: Contract
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Onsite in Abu Dhabi

Role Overview
  • The data Security Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data security controls across the organization.
  • The engineer will lead the deployment, configuration, and optimization of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Digital Rights Management (DRM) technologies, ensuring effective enforcement of data security policies and prevention of unauthorized data access, sharing, or leakage.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of DLP and DRM solutions, including initial planning, design, configuration, and rollout across endpoints, cloud services, email, and collaboration platforms.
  • Assess existing data flows and classification requirements to design appropriate policies and enforcement rules aligned with operational needs.
  • Integrate DLP/DRM controls into hybrid infrastructure, covering both on-premises systems and public cloud platforms (Azure and AWS).
  • Integrate DLP/DRM controls into endpoints, email, collaboration platforms, cloud storage, and network paths, ensuring coverage across structured and unstructured data.
  • Develop use-case driven monitoring rules and incident response workflows, with specific focus on preventing unauthorized access, data leakage, or misuse of critical business information.
  • Conduct hands‑on training sessions for internal IT, SOC, and cybersecurity teams on DLP/DRM tools, rule management, incident triage, and policy tuning.
  • Develop comprehensive technical and operational documentation, including
    • DLP/DRM solution architecture
    • Policy configuration playbooks
    • Exception handling workflows
    • Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Implement and fine‑tune automated data discovery and classification tools, enabling consistent identification and handling of sensitive and critical data assets.
  • Enforce classification-based policies to automatically apply DLP and DRM rules based on data sensitivity and business impact.
Skills
  • 5-8 years of hands‑on experience in cybersecurity roles with a focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Digital Rights Management (DRM) technologies.
  • Proven experience in deploying and configuring enterprise DLP platforms, such as:
    • MS Purview (Information Protection, Endpoint DLP)
    • Forcepoint, Symantec, Digital Guardian, or McAfee DLP
  • Working knowledge of DRM and information rights management solutions, preferably MS Information Protection (MIP) and Azure RMS.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Eg: Azure) and securing data in hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of data classification, retention, and access control principles.
