Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Product Owner (Data) with airline domain expertise for a 1-year extendable contract in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role is onsite and focuses on defining vision, managing the data product backlog, and delivering data initiatives.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with Data, Engineering, QA, Architecture, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring high-value data solutions are delivered.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years as Product Owner.
• Experience with Scrum/Agile delivering Data projects.
• Understanding of Data and Digital initiatives and data-driven requirements.
• Backlog ownership, prioritization, user story creation, and acceptance criteria definition.
• Strong stakeholder management across business and technology teams.
• Experience with Data Engineering, Data Analytics, QA, Architecture, and Engineering teams.
• Agile/Scrum delivery expertise.
• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision, objectives, roadmap, and priorities for Data initiatives.
• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring items are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with Data Engineers, Developers, Architects, QA, Scrum Masters, and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Prioritize backlog items based on business value, customer needs, dependencies, risks, and technical considerations.
• Facilitate and participate in Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Provide timely clarification and decisions to the delivery team during development and testing.
• Review delivered features and validate that they meet the defined business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with business teams for UAT, feedback, and sign-off.
• Identify and manage product-level risks, dependencies, issues, and scope changes.
• Track delivery progress and communicate product status, priorities, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Scrum Master to ensure effective Agile delivery and continuous improvement.
• Drive alignment between business objectives and technical implementation across Data initiatives.
