Job summary

Asian Global Infotech in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced MS Purview Developer to lead data governance, metadata management, and cataloging initiatives onsite for a 6-month engagement with potential extension. You will implement Purview Data Map, define ownership, and drive data quality improvements across enterprise systems.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in data governance, strong communication, and stakeholder leadership, and can start immediately in the UAE.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Purview, Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Platforms.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise data cataloging.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and governance leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data governance strategy, framework, policies, and standards.
• Deploy, configure, and administer Microsoft Purview Data Map and Unified Catalog.
• Build and maintain enterprise data catalog, business glossary, data dictionaries, and CDEs.
• Design and maintain end-to-end data lineage across enterprise systems.
• Define data quality metrics, rules, remediation workflows, and KPIs.
• Collaborate with security, privacy, audit, and risk teams to ensure compliance.
• Lead governance workshops and drive adoption of best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Data Governance Strategy and Framework
Develop and implement enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
Define governance roles, accountability models, and stewardship processes.
Establish governance domains, data ownership, and data product management.
Drive governance maturity and continuous improvement initiatives.

Microsoft Purview Implementation

Deploy, configure, and administer Microsoft Purview Data Map and Unified Catalog.
Onboard enterprise data sources: Power BI, Fabric, Azure Data Services, SQL Server, Oracle, Salesforce, on?prem and cloud.
Configure collections, scan rules, classifications, glossary terms, and metadata enrichment.
Manage metadata repositories and governance assets.

Metadata Management and Data Catalog

Build and maintain enterprise data catalog, business glossary, data dictionaries, and CDEs.
Ensure proper classification, documentation, and lifecycle governance of data assets.

Data Lineage and Impact Analysis

Design and maintain end?to?end lineage across enterprise systems.
Enable impact analysis for business and technical teams.
Support RCA and data traceability requirements.

Data Quality Governance

Define data quality frameworks, metrics, rules, and remediation workflows.
Improve data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability.
Track and report governance and data quality KPIs.

Security, Risk and Compliance

Support data classification, sensitivity labeling, DLP, and information protection.
Align governance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with audit, compliance, and risk teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

Lead governance workshops, forums, and enablement programs.
Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders.
Drive adoption of governance best practices across the organization.

Ideal Candidate

7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Metadata Management, Purview, Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Platforms.
Strong experience with Microsoft Purview and enterprise data cataloging.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and governance leadership skills.
Immediate joiner preferred.
