Job summary

Deriv is seeking a data engineer to own end-to-end data pipelines powering trading analytics, product analytics, compliance, and AI/ML systems. You will ensure data accuracy, raise engineering standards, and build scalable data infrastructure used across a global fintech.

You’ll work with cloud data stacks and collaborate with analysts to deliver trusted insights. The role emphasizes governance, data contracts, and high reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–8 years in data engineering.
• Experience with cloud data stacks (GCP/BigQuery, etc.).
• Experience building reliable data pipelines with data quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Build ETL/ELT pipelines across batch and real-time workloads.
• Bake in observability: freshness checks, lineage tracking, anomaly detection.
• Define and maintain data contracts: SLAs, SLOs, schema agreements.
• Handle PII, access control, and auditability in regulated environments.
