Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UAE is seeking a Technical Director - Data Centres to lead multidisciplinary engineering for data centre projects across the Middle East. You will drive technical direction, governance, audit compliance and innovative digital delivery while guiding project teams to deliver resilient, energy-efficient facilities.

You will also shape market strategy with the Market Director, engage key clients, mentor engineers, and contribute to growth and reputation as a leading data centre

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
• Significant post-graduate experience delivering mission-critical or Data Centre projects.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.
• 20+ years post-graduate experience.
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience in work-winning and business development.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical direction for hyperscale, colocation, enterprise and edge Data Centre projects.
• Lead design governance, peer reviews and independent design verifications.
• Support market sector development and client engagement.
• Mentor and develop senior engineering staff.
• Lead technical input for major bids and client proposals.
• Ensure project delivery safely, on time and within budget.
• Promote digital engineering and innovative delivery practices.
