Job summary

A data solutions company is seeking an experienced Data Center Technician for freelance work in Abu Dhabi. This on-site role involves supporting critical infrastructure at premier facilities. Responsibilities include hardware installations, structured cabling, and network troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of relevant experience and strong cabling skills. Competitive hourly rates between AED79-116 based on experience and project complexity are offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years data center or IT infrastructure experience.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in raised floor environments.
• Own transportation and ability to work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware installations, decommissions, and migrations.
• Execute structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Troubleshoot connectivity and hardware issues.

Skills

Cabling skills (Cat5e/6/6a, single-mode/multi-mode fiber)

Server hardware experience (Dell, HP, Supermicro)

Professional communication skills in English

Education

Data center certifications (CDCP, CDCS, or similar)

Network certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+)
