Job summary

Shivsys in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an experienced System Integration Engineer to join our team. You will design and implement data integration workflows, collaborate with Snowflake data engineers, and ensure secure, scalable ingestion across portfolio, accounting, and market data systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data and system integration, proficiency with ETL/ELT, APIs, middleware, and cloud data platforms, and strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in System Integration, Data Integration, ETL/ELT, API Integration, or Middleware.
• Experience with financial, investment, accounting, or market data systems.
• Strong knowledge of Snowflake, cloud data platforms, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Knowledge of APIs, databases, SFTP, schedulers, middleware, and data migration.
• Understand security, encryption, access controls, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze integration requirements and define data ingestion patterns into Snowflake.
• Build and support integrations with portfolio management, accounting, investment, and market data systems.
• Design batch, scheduled, file-based, API-driven, and database integration workflows.
• Support secure connectivity, authentication, encryption, data transfer, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Snowflake Data Engineers to validate, transform, and deliver data.
• Support historical data migration and backfill activities.
• Implement error handling, logging, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation checks.
• Maintain data lineage, metadata, and operational documentation.
• Troubleshoot integration issues related to APIs, databases, networks, permissions, and source systems.
• Prepare integration specifications, data flow documentation, schedules, and runbooks.
