Middle East Executive has been retained to manage a confidential search project for a Business/Data Analyst for a leading chemical company based in Dubai. If you have minimum 2 years of experience with any manufacturing or chemical organization this role is for you ! As a Business/Data Analyst you will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, supporting data-driven decision-making, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic and operational initiatives. The role involves collecting and analyzing data, preparing business reports, defining requirements, and supporting project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Data Analysis
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas of improvement.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and business performance reports for management review.
- Conduct market, competitor, and financial analysis as required.
- Prepare cost–benefit analyses and business cases to support decision‑making.
- Process Improvement
- Map existing processes and identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks.
- Recommend process improvements and assist with workflow optimization.
- Support automation initiatives and digital transformation projects.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to implement new or improved processes.
- Requirements Gathering Documentation
- Gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and project briefs.
- Create clear documentation: BRDs, SOPs, user stories, process maps, and workflows.
- Ensure requirements are aligned with organizational objectives and project goals.
- Project Support Coordination
- Support key projects by tracking milestones, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
- Coordinate between technical teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure successful deployment of solutions.
- Prepare presentations, project updates, and reports for leadership.
- Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with management and department heads to understand business priorities.
- Communicate analysis findings, recommendations, and insights clearly.
- Facilitate cross‑department collaboration to resolve issues and achieve project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- MBA or professional certification (CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Lean Six Sigma) is an advantage.
- Experience 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role with Manufacturing or chemical company.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
- Exposure to system implementation or digital transformation projects is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and reporting tools.
- Ability to work with SQL or basic data querying (preferred).
- Strong documentation skills (BRD, SOPs, process maps, workflows).
- Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, Trello, etc.).
