A leading IT consulting firm in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Data Analyst to analyze and interpret large datasets to support data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities include developing reports and dashboards, and collaborating with teams to enhance business performance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of analytical experience, with proficiency in tools like Power BI and SQL.
Job Summary :
The Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to support data-driven decision-making. The role involves building reports, dashboards, and analytical models that provide actionable insights to improve business performance, efficiency, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities :
Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, etc.) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Analyze business data using statistical techniques and interpret results to identify trends, correlations, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing) to understand data needs and deliver insights that support decision-making.
Automate recurring data processes and streamline reporting workflows for efficiency.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
Present analytical findings in clear, visual, and actionable formats for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Support data governance, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications & Skills :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
Master's degree or certification in data analytics / business intelligence (optional but preferred).
Experience :
2 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytical role.
Proven experience working with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query).
Knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Experience with Python or R for data analysis is an added advantage.
Exposure to ERP or PMS systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Opera) is desirable for hospitality / finance roles.
Skills :
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
