Job summary

Cutting Edge Recruitment is seeking a dairy farm veterinarian to join a client in Abu Dhabi. The role will diagnose and treat illnesses, implement preventive herd health programs, and support reproductive management including AI and calving assistance.

You will collaborate with nutritionists to optimize milk production, maintain detailed medical records, train staff, and respond to emergencies while ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Qualifications

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all animals.
• Educate farm staff on best practices in animal handling, health monitoring, and hygiene.
• Develop and implement herd health programs to prevent diseases and infections.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and other health conditions in dairy cattle.
• Perform regular health checks and clinical assessments.
• Administer vaccinations, medications, and other treatments as required.
• Develop and implement herd health programs to prevent diseases and infections.
• Oversee artificial insemination (AI) and natural breeding programs.
• Monitor milk production and advise on strategies to enhance yield and quality.
• Maintain and submit health and productivity reports to management.
• Educate farm staff through workshops and training sessions.
• Respond to emergency situations such as injuries or calving difficulties.
