Job summary

Maersk UAE is hiring for a Customs Operations specialist to ensure compliant import/export processes within Dubai logistics. You will process declarations via the Dubai Trade portal, liaise with Dubai Customs, and verify invoices, packing lists and BLs for accuracy.

You will build strong relationships with Dubai Customs and government authorities, maintain records, and update tariffs as regulations change, all while prioritising customer service and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years experience in freight forwarding industry, specifically Customs operations.
• Bachelor degree is desirable.
• Must be customer service oriented and result driven.
• Good English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Customs Procedures.
• Have good relations with Dubai Customs and Government Authorities.
• Family book is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Work on SIRA MOFA and other regulatory requirements based on the products.
• Ensure a safe keeping process of Customs Documents in line with local regulations.
• Update tariff according to Customs rate and fee changes if any.
