United Arab Emirates University is seeking a Research Assistant (Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer) to support a one-year CubeSat mission. The role involves thermal analysis, CAD modeling and drawings, structural analysis, and AIT of the satellite, collaborating with subsystem teams and students.

The candidate will ensure the spacecraft structure and mechanical interfaces are robust, manufacturable, documented, and ready for environmental testing and flight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and engineering drawings.
• Experience with thermal and structural/FEA analysis for aerospace or precision systems.
• Knowledge of materials, fasteners, tolerances and design for assembly.
• Lab or cleanroom experience with satellite assembly, integration and test.

Responsabilités

• Support thermal analysis, CAD modeling, and drawings for CubeSat.
• Conduct structural/FEA analyses and verify mechanical interfaces.
• Contribute to AIT planning and execution with subsystem teams.
• Ensure manufacturability, documentation, and readiness for environmental tests.
