Job summary

A leading aviation company is seeking a qualified individual for helicopter utility functions in Search & Rescue operations. Responsibilities include ensuring safe flight operations, conducting pre and post-flight documentation, and maintaining cabin safety. Qualifications

  • Crewman Instructor qualifications preferred.

Job description

This position is appointed in order to conduct helicopter utility functions in Search & Rescue, Aeromedical evacuation tasks. Conduct of other aviation duties as required by SAR. Maintain a reference library of all civial and military documentation required in the performance of SAR helicopter operations. Need to ensure the implementation and compliance with controls, systems and procedures to meet all UAE government aviation authority and UAE military requirements. Need to comply with UAE Air Force military documentation pertaining to flying operations and SAR duties.

Will also be responsible for :
  • Conduct the safe flight operations complying with company policies and procedures.
  • Report all operational and maintenance deficiencies.
  • Complete timely and accurate pre and post flight documentation IAW company procedures.
  • Maintain a high standard of cabin safety management and corrective action for all passengers and crew.
  • Safe and effective conduct of winch operations during all associated winching tasks.
  • Safe and effective conduct of rescue crewman duties (where qualified).
  • Assist in safe and effective use of Emergency Medical evacuation of single and multi patient patients and associated aircraft medical litter equipment.
  • Conduct the safe and effective use of Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) equipment during SAR tasks.
  • Monitor the serviceability and report all equipment repair and replacement requirements to the ADA Chief Crewman Instructor.
  • Ensure appropriate comfort and safety is afforded to passengers and ADA clients.
  • Ensure the SAR aircraft are kept in a clean and tidy state ensuring that all equipment is in position for immediate response tasking.
  • Assist with all pre and post flight cleaning and preventative corrosion control requirements.

Qualification

High school graduate or military equivalent.

Served as an active military crewman.

Crewman Instructor qualifications preferred.

Good and fit physical condition (GCAA medical class II is required).

Experience
  • Must have 6 years military aviation experience
  • Qualified SAR / Hoist Operator with a minimum of 1000 total flight hours flight time.
  • Qualified in the use of Night Vision Goggle (NVG’s) with a minimum of 100 flight hours.
  • Qualified Hoist Operator with a minimum of 400 hoists.
  • Qualified FLIR Operator (Preferred)
  • Must possess knowledge of SAR services and regulations.
  • Offshore SAR and MEDEVAC experience highly desired.
