• Physical ability needed for long standing periods.
• Valid Crane Operator certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate crane equipment according to set standards, safety regulations and company procedures.
• Move levers and pedals to regulate speed and direction of crane hoist movements.
• Position machinery, equipment or other large objects at construction sites or industrial facilities using cranes.
• Ensure that all loads are properly secured before lifting them up or moving them.
• Inspect cranes on a daily basis to make sure they are functioning properly.
• Monitor load handling operations visually throughout the entire process.
• Report any damage or malfunctioning of cranes immediately to supervisors.
• Adhere to all safety regulations while operating the crane in order to prevent accidents on site.
• Maintain accurate records of all lifting operations performed on site as per company guidelines.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed accurately on time before commencing any lifting operations .
• Follow instructions from supervisors regarding job tasks and deadlines for completion .
