Applicants should possess a BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent, with preference for experience in the Middle East and technical delivery within a consultancy. Qualifications

  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Previous procurement experience is essential.
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is preferred but not essential.
  • Prior technical delivery experience within a global consultancy is required.
  • Experience in the Middle East is advantageous.

Overview

Currie & Brown are looking for a Cost Manager with procurement experience to join our growing team in Abu Dhabi.

As a Cost Manager you will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Responsibilities
  • Providing accurate cost advice and reporting to our clients
  • Delivering projects, commissions and professional assignments
  • Maintaining effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control
  • Undertaking cost management services as part of a team
  • Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner
  • Providing support to the team leader/service leaders in the cost management of projects
  • Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; building great client relationships
What you need
  • BSc in quantity surveying or equivalent
  • Previous procurement experience is essential for the role
  • Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) - preferred but not essential
  • Previous technical delivery experience gained within a global consultancy firm
  • Previous Middle East experience
  • To be comfortable working in a client facing role
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
