Job summary

HUMAN-AI-Z Nexus Technology in Dubai seeks a Fit-Out Cost Estimator / Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for interior fit-out projects across retail, commercial, hospitality, and bespoke finishes.

You will analyze drawings, perform take-offs, prepare BOQs, source quotes, and coordinate with project teams to ensure competitive tenders and sound proposals.

Responsibilities

• Analyze architectural and technical drawings, shop drawings, designs, and specifications to determine scope.
• Perform material take-offs, labor evaluations, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost sheets.
• Source prices from suppliers and subcontractors (often 3+ quotes per trade).
• Factor in project overheads, profit margin, logistics, and contingencies.
• Prepare tender submissions and assist commercial teams in bid preparation.
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, planning, and design teams.
• Maintain up-to-date cost databases and supplier pricing trends (local UAE markets).
• Analyze cost variances and recommend efficient alternatives.
• Produce clear estimate reports, presentations, and justification of cost lines.
• Document assumptions, risks, and exclude/ include lists for client clarity.

Desired Candidate Profile

Primary Purpose: Prepare accurate cost estimates and project budgets for interior fit-out jobs across retail, commercial, hospitality, and bespoke finish projects — supporting tender bids, project planning, and client proposals.
