Job summary

A prestigious hotel group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Cost Controller to manage inventory flow, analyze sales statistics, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in finance or hospitality and at least 2 years of relevant experience, particularly in the hospitality industry. Proficiency in various hotel management software is required. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a luxury establishment focusing on comprehensive cost control and financial analysis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost control, accounting, or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with hotel software for F&B cost tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Control and record the flow of goods between Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Check receiving vouchers against invoices for accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance of supplier’s tax invoices with FTA guidelines.
  • Produce daily food flash cost of sales reports.
  • Perform food & beverage stock counts as per company policy.
  • Cost all recipes before implementing new dishes.
  • Analyze monthly sales statistics and highlight slow moving items.
  • Prepare month end closing reports for food, beverage, and tobacco.
  • Oversee management of hotel stores and stockholding.
  • Conduct adhoc analysis and restaurant spot checks.

Cost Controller

Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

Salary: Market related

Our client is an awarding winning Hotel offering luxury rooms, hosting bespoke events with style, popular restaurants and F&B outlets.

Responsibilities
  • Controls and records the flow of goods between Food and Beverage outlets as well as issues from stores to user departments.
  • Checks the receiving voucher against the supplier’s invoice and purchase order for accuracy.
  • Ensures supplier’s tax invoices are compliant with the FTA guidelines.
  • Production of daily food flash cost of sales reports
  • Ensures that the 10, 20 days and monthly food & beverage stock counts are performed as per company policy and procedures.
  • Costing of all recipes before implementing a new dish on a menu to ensure right pricing.
  • Analyse of the monthly sales statistics and highlighting slow moving items to the responsible head of department.
  • Analyse outlet activity on a monthly basis. The analysis should include revenue, cost of sales and productivity.
  • Prepare the month end closing reports for the following: food, beverage, and tobacco, general stock and operating supplies.
  • Oversee the management of hotel stores and ensure the stockholding is in line with business levels.

Skills and Qualifications
