Job Description Summary: The Controls Product Service Engineer will provide technical guidance and support to GE Vernova power generation customers, focusing on Gas and Steam Turbine Controls/operability domain. The role involves diagnosing root causes, developing effective resolutions, and employing problem-solving strategies. Additionally, the position requires making informed decisions with limited data, leveraging project management techniques, and maintaining direct communication with customers to improve service quality, delivery, and overall satisfaction.

What you'll do;

  • Contribute to a culture of safety by proactively identifying safety concerns and escalating them appropriately.
  • Own the technical resolution of multiple complex Gas and Steam Turbine controls/operability issues at power plants with a sense of urgency.
  • Effectively communicate the progress of customer issues and engineering recommendations across all organizational levels, both internally within GE Vernova and externally with customer leadership, including plant operators.
  • Author customer communications regularly to update users and community externally, and document & share lessons & best practices internally within GE Vernova.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with GE Vernova internal organizations to ensure customer requirements are understood and addressed.
  • Assist Controlled Title Holders (CTH) in identifying analytics and improvement ideas aimed at predicting anomalies, estimating accurate resolutions, and enabling quicker customer issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Technical Leaders and CTHs to promote dissemination of cross-platform learnings and raise awareness of global fleet issues.
  • Practice continuous improvement by employing lean tools and principles.

What you'll bring;

  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Control Systems, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • GE Vernova engineering internship experience or proven experience in GE Vernova turbine controls & operability domain.
  • Experience & willingness to travel globally to support root cause investigations, critical outage inspections, and customer communications.
