Job summary

PANGEA in Dubai seeks a highly experienced Gas Turbine / Steam Turbine Controls Outage Engineer to lead on-site controls during outages, inspections, and commissioning on international sites.

You will troubleshoot, configure and validate turbine control and protection systems (GE Mark V/VI/VIe) and act as the primary technical liaison with client teams, traveling internationally with relocation support included.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in controls engineering with field experience on GE turbines.
• Proven expertise with GE Mark V, VI, VIe control systems.
• Strong knowledge of turbine auxiliary and protection systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot live systems.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Job description

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Gas Turbine / Steam Turbine Controls Outage Engineer for a leading client based in Dubai. This role involves managing controls systems during outages, inspections, and commissioning of heavy-duty turbines on international sites. The successful candidate will act as the on-site technical authority, troubleshooting, configuring, and validating turbine control and protection systems, primarily GE Mark V, VI, and VIe platforms.

Role Overview:

• Lead controls activities during outages and major inspections
• Troubleshoot and resolve control system faults
• Support modifications and upgrades
• Act as the primary technical liaison with client teams

Required Experience & Skills:

• 8+ years in controls engineering, with field experience on GE turbines
• Proven expertise with GE Mark V, VI, VIe control systems
• Strong knowledge of turbine auxiliary and protection systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and troubleshoot live systems
• Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally
