Job description

To lead the development and strategic growth of our clients Jebel Ali warehouse business. This role is focused on securing new business, building and maintaining key client relationships, and ensuring the profitability and financial health of the contract logistics division. The position will work closely with the Warehouse Manager who is responsible for day-to-day operations

Business Development & Strategy
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan to expand our contract logistics services in the region.
  • Identify, target, and acquire new clients by creating and presenting customized logistics and warehousing solutions.
  • Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and competitive activities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry partners, and regulatory bodies (e.g., JAFZA, Dubai Customs).
Client Relationship & Account Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and service levels are maintained.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional logistics services to existing clients.
  • Address and resolve any client issues or escalations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee credit control and timely payment collection from clients to ensure a healthy cash flow for the air freight department.
Financial Management & Reporting
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for the contract logistics business and monitor key financial metrics.
  • Prepare and analyze performance reports for senior management, focusing on profitability, revenue growth, and client acquisition.
  • Ensure all sales and business development activities align with company financial goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of UAE experience in logistics, with at least 5 years in a managerial role focused on sales, business development, or account management.
  • Proven experience in developing and growing a successful logistics or warehousing business in the UAE, preferably in Jebel Ali.
  • Strong background in business development, sales, and P&L management within the logistics sector.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Strong financial acumen and communication skills.
