Job summary

PPOAR is seeking a highly organized Librarian to join our team in Jabal-Ali, UAE. The ideal candidate will be an Indian national with strong English skills and experience as a Librarian.

You will manage materials, assist patrons, and develop services to support the community. The role requires a Library Science degree and at least 2 years of Librarian experience, with contract-based work and visa/ticket provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience as Librarian.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Knowledge of cataloging systems, database management, and information retrieval methods.
• Experience managing budgets preferred.
• Indian nationality preferred but not required.
• Willing to work on a contract basis with free visa and ticket provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage and organize library materials, including books, journals, and digital resources.
• Assist library patrons in finding and accessing information.
• Develop and implement library programs and services to meet the needs of the community.
• Maintain library cataloging system and ensure accuracy of records.
• Monitor library budget and make purchasing decisions for new materials.
• Train and supervise library staff, volunteers, and interns.
