Job summary

Danat Al Emarat Hospital for Women & Children in Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Radiologist to join its multidisciplinary team. The role covers diagnostic imaging interpretation across CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, and related modalities, with a focus on patient-centered care and safety.

The successful candidate will lead reporting, provide radiology consultations, and participate in tumor boards, quality initiatives, and continuing medical education.

Qualifications

• Tier 1 qualification per DOH requirements (e.g., American Board, Canadian Board, CCT/CCST, Australian Fellowship, or equivalent Tier 1 certification).
• Eligible for or holding a DOH Consultant License in Radiology.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-board experience at consultant level in a recognized healthcare institution.
• Subspecialty expertise in Women's Imaging, Breast Imaging, Fetal Imaging, or Pediatric Radiology is preferred.
• Excellent communication, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and report a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, and other imaging modalities.
• Provide expert radiological consultations to referring physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform and supervise image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, where applicable.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of radiological findings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, tumor boards, and clinical case discussions.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, radiation protection, and quality assurance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental protocols and best practices.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, fellows, and radiographers as required.
• Participate in departmental audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
• Comply with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and professional standards.

Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
