ABOUT THE ROLE

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in UAE is expanding its comprehensive mental health, psychiatric and behavioural health services and is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join its growing clinical team. ROLE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, psychologists, nurses, therapists, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic and treatment infrastructure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric and mental health conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Manage conditions including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, trauma-related conditions and other complex psychiatric presentations.
• Develop individualised treatment plans incorporating pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy referrals and appropriate psychosocial interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, risk assessments, mental state examinations and ongoing clinical reviews.
• Coordinate care with psychologists, counsellors, neurologists, primary care physicians and other multidisciplinary professionals.
• Provide crisis assessment and management for patients presenting with acute psychiatric symptoms or safety concerns.
• Support family counselling, patient education, relapse prevention and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, confidentiality, safeguarding and compliance with UAE healthcare standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based psychiatric care.
