This Staff Physician (Consultant) position applies medical knowledge to diagnose, prevent and treat illnesses for patients in the Primary Care specialty, and may involve

Qualifications

• MD, MBBS, MBChB or DO from ABMS or Royal College recognition.
• Tier 1 qualifications and strong primary care experience in leading academic medical centers.
• Commitment to clinical excellence, research and evidence-based practice.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and provides care to patients within Primary Care specialty.
• Prescribes or administers medications, therapy and other care to treat or prevent illness.
• Analyzes records, reports, and test results to diagnose conditions.
• Interacts with patients to gather history and information about medical condition.
• Explains procedures and discusses test results or treatments with patients.
• Performs specific treatments and/or operations to treat conditions as needed.
• Evaluates patients and records notes for treatment records or referrals.
• Liaisons with other medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Performs surgical procedures and operations as appropriate.
• Adheres to policies and ethical/regulatory guidelines.
• Participates in administrative functions supporting clinical operations.
