Job summary

Astra ProMed in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Consultant Pediatrician – Acute Care to lead clinical management of acutely ill infants, children and adolescents and to guide multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires DOH Abu Dhabi license or eligibility, postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics, and strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills. You will ensure high standards of patient care, participate in audits, teaching, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
• Appropriate Consultant-level experience in Pediatric Acute Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment and management of acutely ill pediatric patients.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute pediatric medical conditions.
• Manage pediatric emergencies and stabilize critically ill patients.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Review investigations, imaging, and laboratory results.
• Provide clinical leadership to pediatric medical teams.
• Coordinate care with emergency, ICU, surgery, nursing and allied health teams.
• Document and maintain medical records.

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatrician – Acute Care to provide expert medical care to infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute and complex medical conditions. The successful candidate will lead clinical management, support multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high standards of pediatric patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level assessment and management of acutely ill pediatric patients.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute pediatric medical conditions.
• Manage pediatric emergencies and stabilize critically ill patients.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans.
• Review investigations, imaging, and laboratory results.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to pediatric medical teams.

Qualifications
