Job summary

DrExpat is seeking a Consultant Pediatric Radiologist in Abu Dhabi to perform and interpret a broad range of pediatric imaging studies, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver timely, high-quality reports for neonatal and pediatric patients.

Ideal candidates hold an MBBS, radiology residency, and fellowship/board certification in diagnostic radiology, with pediatric radiology expertise. UAE licensing and DOH eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship or board certification in Diagnostic Radiology (CCT/CCST/FRCR/Arab Board or equivalent).
• Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology is preferred; extensive pediatric radiology experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Interpret pediatric X-rays, ultrasound, CT and MRI examinations.
• Perform and supervise pediatric imaging procedures.
• Provide accurate diagnostic reports for neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure radiation safety and adherence to pediatric imaging protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
• Maintain radiology documentation and reporting standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement and continuing medical education.

Education

Role Overview

Consultant Pediatric Radiologist

As a Consultant Pediatric Radiologist you will perform and interpret a broad range of pediatric diagnostic imaging studies while working closely with pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, neonatologists, and other specialists. You will provide timely and accurate imaging reports that support effective diagnosis and treatment planning for pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship, Board Certification, CCT, CCST, FRCR, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent recognized qualification in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology is preferred; however, candidates with extensive dedicated Pediatric Radiology experience who meet Consultant licensing requirements will also be considered.
• Minimum 3 5 years of post-board experience working predominantly in Pediatric Radiology within a tertiary or children s hospital.
• Eligible for DOH Consultant licensure.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
