The role requires performing corrective spinal surgeries and managing complex spinal conditions in pediatric patients. Candidates must have a medical degree, complete orthopedic residency, and board certification. Strong leadership and teamwork skills are essential. The Pediatric Orthopedics department provides comprehensive services for musculoskeletal conditions with a specialized focus on spinal deformities such as scoliosis. We are seeking a Consultant Pediatric Orthopedist with scoliosis expertise to join their multidisciplinary team and lead the development of advanced spinal care for children.
Provide consultant‑level care for pediatric orthopedic patients with a focus on scoliosis and spinal deformities.
Diagnose, manage and treat complex spinal conditions using both surgical and non‑surgical approaches.
Perform pediatric scoliosis surgeries including corrective spinal procedures and post‑operative care.
Lead and supervise junior doctors, residents and multidisciplinary teams.
Collaborate with physiotherapists, nurses and other specialists to ensure holistic patient care.
Participate in academic activities – training and research within the pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis field.
Medical degree (MBBS/MD/DO) with completion of Orthopedic residency.
Fellowship or substantial experience in Pediatric Orthopedics with demonstrable scoliosis expertise.
Proven experience in managing scoliosis cases both surgically and non‑surgically.
Board certification or valid consultant license in orthopedics from a TIER‑1 country as per the Abu Dhabi PQR guidelines – DOH.
Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills.
Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Fellowship in spinal deformity surgery.
Experience in clinical research publications or academic presentations in pediatric orthopedics or scoliosis.
Experience establishing or managing a pediatric scoliosis program or clinic.
