Job summary

M42 Health, a global care provider, seeks a Consultant Pediatric Neurologist to deliver comprehensive care for infants to adolescents with neurological disorders across facilities in Abu Dhabi. You will diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of conditions.

Responsibilities include coordinating EEG/EMG/NCS, neuroimaging and laboratory interpretation, while leading multidisciplinary teams and contributing to quality improvement and teaching initiatives.

Qualifications

• Medical degree MBBS or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Residency in Pediatrics completed.
• Fellowship in Pediatric Neurology.
• Board certification in Pediatric Neurology.
• Eligible for DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant licensure.
• Minimum 5 years post-board/fellowship experience at Consultant level.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric neurological disorders including epilepsy, developmental delays, neuromuscular diseases, movement disorders, headaches and neurogenetic conditions.
• Conduct comprehensive neurological assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Interpret and utilize EEG, EMG/NCS, neuroimaging and labs.
• Manage acute and chronic neurological conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide consultation to pediatricians, neonatologists, intensivists and other specialists.
• Participate in care of patients with complex neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Lead multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions and care planning.
• Support quality improvement, clinical governance and patient safety programs.
• Participate in teaching, mentoring and professional development for medical staff and trainees.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per regulatory standards.

The Consultant Pediatric Neurologist is responsible for providing comprehensive, specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents with neurological disorders. The role involves the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of a wide range of pediatric neurological conditions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care across M42 facilities.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution.


• Completion of residency training in Pediatrics and fellowship/specialist training in Pediatric Neurology.


• Board Certification or equivalent recognized qualification in Pediatric Neurology (e.g., Arab Board, American Board, Canadian Board, CCT, CCST, European Board, or equivalent).


• Eligible for Consultant licensure with the Department of Health (DOH), Abu Dhabi.


• Minimum of 5 years of post-board/fellowship experience at Consultant level preferred.


• Demonstrated expertise in managing a broad spectrum of pediatric neurological disorders.


• Strong communication, leadership, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
