Job summary

A hospital in Abu Dhabi seeks a Consultant Pediatric Geneticist to evaluate, diagnose and manage children with inherited and genetic disorders. You will collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, laboratory specialists and multidisciplinary teams to provide precise diagnoses and personalized treatment plans.

You will interpret genetic testing and sequencing results, offer comprehensive genetic counselling to families, and contribute to research and education while maintaining

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Clinical Genetics or Pediatric Genetics.
• Expertise in diagnosing hereditary and rare genetic disorders.
• License or eligibility to practice in DOH/DHA/MOH.
• Proficient in genetic testing interpretation and counselling.
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage children with inherited and genetic disorders.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, laboratory staff and multidisciplinary teams.
• Interpret genetic testing, genomic sequencing and laboratory investigations.
• Provide genetic counselling to patients and families.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Participate in research, quality improvement and continuing medical education.
• Develop individualized management plans for complex genetic conditions.

• As a Consultant Pediatric Geneticist you will evaluate diagnose and manage children with inherited and genetic disorders
• You will work closely with pediatricians neonatologists obstetricians laboratory specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnoses personalized treatment recommendations and comprehensive genetic counselling for patients and families
• Diagnose and manage inherited and genetic disorders in infants and children
• Interpret genetic testing genomic sequencing and laboratory investigations
• Provide genetic counselling to patients and their families
• Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Develop individualized management plans for complex genetic conditions
