Job summary

Hziegler in Dubai seeks a Neurology Consultant to join a multidisciplinary team. You will diagnose and manage a wide range of neurological conditions and emergencies, across subspecialties including Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, MS, Stroke, and Neurophysiology.

Applicants must hold an MD, National Board Certification in Neurology, an active medical license in eligible regions, and 3–5 years post‑certification experience in a tertiary hospital.

Qualifications

• MD degree and board-certified in neurology.
• Current active medical license in US, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia or New Zealand.
• Minimum 3–5 years post-certification experience as a Neurology Consultant in a tertiary-care hospital.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions.
• Assess and manage neurological emergencies in collaboration with other teams.
• Provide specialist care across neurology subspecialties including Movement Disorders, MS, Epilepsy, Headache, Neuromuscular, Cognition, Stroke, Neurocritical Care, Paediatric Neurology, and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurological conditions, including acute and chronic neurological disorders
  
• Assess and manage neurological emergencies, including stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injury and other trauma-related neurological presentations, in collaboration with Emergency Medicine, Neurosurgery and Critical Care teams.
  
• Provide specialist care across relevant neurology subspecialties, including:
  
  • Movement Disorders: Parkinson’s disease, tremors and dystonia
  • Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology: Demyelinating and autoimmune neurological disorders
  • Epilepsy: Seizure disorders and EEG assessment
  • Headache Medicine: Migraine and other headache disorders
  • Neuromuscular Disorders: Peripheral neuropathy, myasthenia gravis and muscle disorders
  • Cognitive and Behavioural Neurology: Dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and memory disorders
  • Stroke and Cerebrovascular Neurology: Ischaemic stroke, haemorrhagic stroke and TIA
  • Neurocritical Care: Complex neurological conditions requiring intensive care, where appropriately credentialed.
  • Paediatric Neurology: Neurological disorders in children, where within the clinician’s scope of practice.
  • Clinical Neurophysiology: Interpretation of EEG, EMG and nerve conduction studies, where qualified.

Requirements:

• MD Degree
• National Board Certification in Neurology from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
• Current, active medical license in: the United States, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
• Minimum three to five years of current post-certification experience working as a Consultant in Neurology in a tertiary-care hospital in the United States, Canada, the UK, Western Europe, Australia, or New Zealand
