Job summary

Astra ProMed in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Nephrologist to provide expert kidney care within a multidisciplinary team. The role includes managing acute and chronic renal conditions, dialysis, and renal replacement therapies, with a focus on high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or an equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Nephrology or an equivalent specialty.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience as required under UAE PQR guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases.
• Provide consultation and treatment for complex renal conditions.
• Manage patients with hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and renal complications.
• Assess and manage patients requiring dialysis and other renal replacement therapies.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis where applicable.
• Coordinate care with urologists, transplant teams, intensivists, surgeons, and other specialists.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor clinical outcomes.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions.
• Provide patient and family education regarding renal conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality-improvement, clinical audit, and continuing medical education activities.

Requirements

• Valid professional license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain DHA licensing in Dubai
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision‑making skills
• Experience managing complex renal and dialysis patients
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
