Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage hematologic conditions including anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
• Treat inherited and acquired blood disorders such as hemophilia, sickle cell disease and clotting abnormalities.
• Perform and oversee bone marrow biopsy procedures and transfusion protocols.
• Design and manage chemotherapy and treatment regimens for hematologic malignancies.
• Collaborate with oncology, pathology and radiology teams for integrated patient care.
• Provide consultative support for inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and long-term disease management.
• Contribute to academic teaching programs and continuous medical education activities.
