A reputable healthcare provider in Dubai is seeking a Consultant Glaucoma Surgeon with strong surgical expertise to join their leading ophthalmology team. The ideal candidate will have a medical degree specializing in Ophthalmology, UK CCT or American Board Certification, and at least 3–5 years of experience in glaucoma surgery. This role offers the opportunity to perform advanced procedures, collaborate with various specialties, and contribute to teaching and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years post-specialization experience in glaucoma surgery.
  • Arabic-speaking preferred, but strong profiles of any gender/language are welcome.
  • DHA eligibility or licensure preferred.

👁️🗨️ Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Glaucoma Surgeon to join a leading ophthalmology team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong surgical and clinical expertise in managing glaucoma patients, with a commitment to evidence-based care and multidisciplinary collaboration.

🔍 Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced glaucoma surgeries including trabeculectomy, tube shunt procedures, MIGS, and laser therapies.
  • Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of glaucoma conditions, including primary open-angle, angle-closure, and secondary glaucomas.
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient care, including long‑term follow‑up and visual rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with retina, cornea, and general ophthalmology teams for integrated patient care.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities.
  • Contribute to teaching and mentoring junior staff and residents.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
  • Medical degree with specialization in Ophthalmology
  • UK CCT or American Board Certification in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowship training in Glaucoma (preferred)
  • Minimum 3–5 years post‑specialization experience in glaucoma surgery
