🎯 Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant General Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Vascular Surgery to join a leading healthcare institution in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will manage complex surgical cases involving both general and vascular pathologies, contributing to high‑quality patient outcomes and clinical excellence.

🧩 Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced general surgical procedures including abdominal, gastrointestinal, and soft tissue surgeries
  • Diagnose and treat vascular conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms, varicose veins, and thrombosis
  • Conduct open and endovascular surgeries including bypass grafting, embolectomy, and angioplasty
  • Provide pre‑operative assessments, operative care, and post‑operative follow‑up
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including radiologists, cardiologists, and intensivists
  • Participate in surgical audits, peer reviews, and clinical governance activities
  • Educate junior staff and contribute to CME programs and surgical training
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with DOH (Department of Health) standards
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
  • Medical degree from a recognized institution
  • Completion of residency in General Surgery
  • Fellowship or subspecialty training in Vascular Surgery
  • Board certification (e.g., American Board, FRCS, Arab Board, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 8–10 years of post‑specialization experience
  • DOH eligibility or willingness to obtain Abu Dhabi licensure
  • Proven expertise in both open and minimally invasive vascular procedures
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and leadership skills
