Job summary

Allocation Assist DMCC seeks an experienced Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join a leading UAE healthcare organization. The role focuses on diagnosing and managing complex rhythm disorders, performing EP studies, and delivering advanced ablation and device therapies.

The incumbent will collaborate with cardiology and surgical teams, participate in clinics, and contribute to teaching and research while delivering high-quality patient care across pre- and post-procedural care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized specialist/consultant qualification in Cardiology.
• Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Cardiac Electrophysiology/Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
• Valid DOH license/eligibility or eligibility to obtain one.
• Significant post-specialization experience in cardiac electrophysiology.
• Demonstrated expertise in complex ablation procedures and cardiac implantable electronic devices.
• Excellent communication, clinical decision-making, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and complex rhythm disorders.
• Perform and interpret ECG, Holter, event monitoring, and EPS.
• Perform advanced EP procedures, including catheter ablation for SVT and VT.
• Manage atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, VT, and other arrhythmias.
• Perform 3D electroanatomical mapping and advanced ablation techniques.
• Implant and manage pacemakers, ICDs, and CRT devices when within scope.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and manage complications.
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, surgeons, and other teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rhythm and device clinics and contribute to teaching/research.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Consultant Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide specialized care in the diagnosis and management of complex cardiac rhythm disorders, with expertise in advanced electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and complex rhythm disorders.
• Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (ECG), Holter monitoring, event monitoring, and electrophysiological studies (EPS).
• Perform advanced cardiac electrophysiology procedures, including catheter ablation for supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias.
• Manage atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, ventricular tachycardia, and other complex arrhythmias.
• Perform 3D electroanatomical mapping and advanced ablation techniques.
• Implant and manage pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices, where within scope of practice.
• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-procedure patient care and manage procedural complications.
• Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, heart failure specialists, intensivists, and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac rhythm and device clinics.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow evidence-based guidelines.
• Contribute to clinical teaching, research, quality improvement, and departmental development.

Requirements

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
