Job summary

M42 Ltd. in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive anaesthesia and perioperative care across the pathway, including pre-operative assessment and post-operative management.

You will deliver general, regional, and sedation-based anaesthesia within clinical privileges, assess perioperative risk, manage high-risk cases, supervise junior staff, ensure documentation, and contribute to governance and quality initiatives in line with UAE regulations.

Qualifications

• MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent recognised medical qualification.
• Tier 1 specialty qualification in Anesthesiology as recognised under UAE PQR.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensure under the UAE health authority.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant post-training experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anaesthesia care across pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative phases.
• Deliver general, regional, and sedation-based anaesthesia within granted clinical privileges.
• Assess patients, identify perioperative risks, and develop anaesthetic plans.
• Manage complex and high-risk patients requiring advanced anaesthetic care.
• Provide airway management, haemodynamic monitoring and perioperative pain management.
• Respond to anaesthetic emergencies and perioperative complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nursing teams and other professionals.
• Supervise and support junior physicians and clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, patient safety and departmental activities.
• Ensure practice aligns with UAE regulatory requirements and M42 policies.

• Tier 1 specialty qualification in Anesthesiology/Anaesthesia, as recognised under the applicable UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements (PQR).
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensure under the relevant UAE health authority.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant post-training experience.
• Strong experience in contemporary anaesthesia practice and perioperative patient management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical cases and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
