Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for elective and emergency surgeries.
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and develop anesthesia plans.
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia within privileges.
• Perform advanced airway management and difficult airway procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and manage anesthesia-related emergencies.
• Collaborate with surgeons and nursing teams; supervise junior physicians.
• Ensure DHA regulations and infection control standards.

We are seeking highly qualified and experienced Consultant / Specialist Anesthesiologists to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE.

The ideal candidates will possess extensive expertise in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, perioperative patient management, and advanced airway management. Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for elective and emergency surgical procedures
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments, evaluate patient risks, and develop individualized anesthesia plans
• Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia, within authorized clinical privileges
• Perform advanced airway management, endotracheal intubation, and difficult airway procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological parameters throughout surgical procedures
• Manage anesthesia-related emergencies, including airway complications, hemodynamic instability, and adverse drug reactions
• Provide perioperative pain management and appropriate post-anesthesia care
• Perform spinal anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, and peripheral nerve blocks, where appropriately trained
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Supervise and support junior physicians and anesthesia team members according to professional seniority
• Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, anesthesia safety protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards

Requirements

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Anesthesiology / Anesthesia
• Board certification or equivalent recognized specialist qualification
• American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, or other internationally recognized qualifications are highly desirable
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience appropriate to the Consultant or Specialist classification
• Strong expertise in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, perioperative care, and emergency airway management
• Valid ACLS certification or equivalent is preferred
• Eligible for DHA Consultant or Specialist Anesthesiology classification/license in Dubai, subject to applicable UAE PQR requirements
