Job summary

SearchPlus HR Consultancy is partnering with a leading UAE healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi to recruit a Consultant Anaesthetist with UK CCT.

The role will provide consultant‑level anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures, perform thorough pre‑operative assessments, administer general and regional techniques, manage airway and haemodynamics, and contribute to governance, teaching, and quality improvement with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• UK CCT in Anaesthetics / Anaesthesia.
• Specialist registration with the relevant UK medical authority.
• Substantial post-CCT clinical experience.
• Experience in a tertiary-care or teaching hospital environment.
• Eligible for DOH (Abu Dhabi) medical licensing.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level anaesthesia services for elective and emergency procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments and develop individualized anaesthetic plans.
• Administer general, regional, and other appropriate forms of anaesthesia.
• Provide perioperative management, including airway management and haemodynamic monitoring.
• Manage complex and high-risk surgical cases.
• Provide post-operative pain management and monitor patient recovery.
• Respond to emergency situations and participate in resuscitation services.
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with UAE healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical governance, teaching, training, and quality-improvement activities.
